Congratulations, Murphy and Paul! Enrichment Works Directors Win 2006 Ovation Awards
Yet another new work directed by Kreppel, Jim Brochu's "Zero Hour," a dramatic portrait of the late Zero Mostel, won for Best Original Play. Beyond their invaluable contributions as Board members, Murphy and Paul have directed and/or choreographed several Enrichment Works productions, among them "Aesop's Fables,""Dinosaur Wars," "Johnny and Sally Ann," "Pirates!" and "Rosie!" "Murphy and Paul deserve this prestigious honor and many more," said Executive Director Abraham Tetenbaum. "Tony voters take note!" LA Stage Alliance does not currently have an award category for best performance at a school, library or museum, but Tetenbaum recently raised the point with Alliance Manager Trena Pitchford. "I would love to see our artists receive this kind of recognition for their unique brand of theater," said Tetenbaum.
